HNA's Vision
HNA's community developed vision was approved at our October 11, 2005 Community Meeting and Candidate Forum. Approximately 160 people attended the gathering; nearly 70% were people of color, about half were Lao and Hmong, and a large number of renters at the meeting. The community unanimously approved the following vision and new organizational course. This was a meeting organized and sponsored by Harrison Neighborhood Association, Lao Assistance Center, and Southeast Asian Community Council (HSEAP: Harrison Southeast Asian Partnership).
We are creating a prosperous and peaceful community that equitably benefits all of Harrison neighborhood’s diverse racial, cultural, and economic groups. We will combat racism where all individuals can participate through shared power and mutual accountability.
