Sit-ins, protests, and cleanup strategies are used to help rid the neighborhood of blight and unsightly properties (especially businesses)

Food Co-op

Meets 4th Tuesday of each month

An outgrowth of the demolition of the abandoned gas station at Penn and Glenwood is a new development called, “Harrison Commons”. Harrison Commons will be a mixed used development with housing and about 8,000 sq. ft. of retail space.

One of the projects being considered for this retail space is a Natural Food Co-op with an emphasis on ethnic and locally grown foods.
