Nichole Buehler

Executive Director -

Nichole was hired as HNA’s new Executive Director in October 2018. From September 2017 until recently, she served as HNA’s Program Manager. Prior to joining HNA, she worked in law, as well as social services. She became acquainted with neighborhood associations when she joined her neighborhood board and witnessed the power community can have when residents come together to work toward a common goal. She has been a resident of Minneapolis for nearly 20 years and currently resides in the Hawthorne neighborhood of North Minneapolis with her husband, Chris; their daughter, Sylvia; and their cat, Abner.

Nestor Garcia
Community Outreach Director -

Nestor has been a resident of the Harrison neighborhood for nearly 5 years, and has served as HNA’s Community Outreach Coordinator since May 2017. Before joining the HNA staff, Nestor served as a volunteer HNA Board Member, and worked as an Organizer with the 15 Now campaign to raise the minimum wage in Minneapolis. In his role as Community Outreach Director, Nestor does his best to ensure that the voice of his community is being heard, especially with all of the new development that is coming to Harrison.
